IT'S HERE!!

My KitchenAid arrived safe and sound and has found it's home in my kitchen.  I now have room for my blender in the far corner where my small mixer was.

Couldn't be happier.  I decided on white since I change the colors in my kitchen for each of the seasons.  It's a 5.5 qt. with lift bowl.  Came with the whisk, paddle and bread hook.  It fits perfectly in the corner where the canisters were, next to the outlet.

The canisters moved to the other side of the kitchen, and look cute wherever I put them.

Tomorrow after church, we are going to our son's for Super Bowl and a feast of chili and cornbread.

I have a big Blackberry cobbler in the oven to take, and it sure smells good.  What are your plans for Super Bowl?

  1. After church we are going over to our friends home to eat watch a little tv and play a few games.
It's bring your own main meal and they are supplying the munchies, salad and dessert. Should be a really nice afternoon.

    1. Betsy, I know you know how thrilled I am to have this mixer. It's so pretty and so new, I almost am afraid to use it. But after that first batch of cookies I know it will be broken in. HaHa.

Yes Football just calls for munchies and good food.

    2. You will be amazed at the power...and it wipes up clean and the bowl goes in the dishwasher...so nice! I like the white, too...it will always go with whatever you have.

    3. Thats what the manual was saying. The power will surprise you. And it's normal for the top of the motor to get hot to the touch after a lot of mixing. I read the entire Manual today and it's also full of good recipes.

  3. Wanda, I like some sports , but can sit still long enough to watch it. Do you remember "Wide World of Sports"? That used to be my favorite . I could see who would be stars in our Olympics when I watched that. I hope you have a fun time with family. The food sounds oh so good. Can't wait to see what all you cook up with that new mixer....for some reason, I thought when you said Kitchen Aid , you meant a dish washer. LOL. xoxo,Susie

    1. You know Susie ~ until this apartment, I had NEVER had a dishwasher. I am enjoying it very much. I forgot KitchenAid makes all kinds of products.

Looking forward to spending tomorrow with our son and family.

When Don and I got married, I realized he was a total sport fan. All sports. So I made a decision back then, that I would not be a complaining wife, but I popped the corn, sat next to him, and before I knew it.... I was a sports fan too.

  4. Oh I know you will enjoy using your new mixer! I have a white kitchen aid mixer too and I can't imagine baking without it. Sounds like you'll be having a fun Sunday. I will probably watch the Superbowl just for the commercials. LOL!

  9. I'm just cleaning the house today. I might make some queso later or jalapeno poppers. I have a mixer similar to yours. I got it as a gift when I re-did my kitchen. I pretty much just sits there as a decorative piece collecting dust. LOL. Have a great Sunday.
