A NEW THEME IN THE TREE HOUSEI

When we got back from our trip, I knew it was time to take down Christmas.  I don't have too many Valentine decorations, but took what I had and left the splashes of red and added some pink and white and hearts.  Since there are restriction on hanging things on the outside door, I put this hanger in the kitchen, and took down the chickens for now and hung my fruit pie plates.

I put out the Valentine dish towels, and the Mug Cakes Recipe Book Julie gave me for Christmas.  This is the good and the bad....Had to make another Cinnamon Roll Bread (bad), but in the background see my "lemon/cucumber water...(good) I've had three glasses today.

When I was at the CVS to pick up a prescription this cute little plant in a pink pot said "You need a splash of pink in the kitchen too."  So that's where it is, and I love the view of the living room and balcony from the Kitchen.

Have you ever been "Welcomed" into the bathroom?  HaHa.  Again, I have to find places to hang things that hung on my front porch in our last house.  I left the red towels up, and added some pink and white and more hearts.

My little blue and pink bird says love to me,

Another pink heart, and a candle that needs replaced.

You know I can't do a post without food... I do try, but that where I live most of the time..the kitchen.  Tonight it was chicken thighs in the crock pot, baked potato with all the fixings and baby squash from Costco.

    1. The Treehouse is a happy place. Even on a bad day, I try to find my happiness in the Lord, and living in this wonderful place. Love the little cook book, and btw I haven't found a good picture of Molly yet, but will take some more.

  3. You are way ahead of me. I usually don't decorate for Valentine's Day until Feb 1. And I'm still taking Christmas down! I seem to always be at work or am sleeping so it's hard to find the time to do things. Coming up is a 3 day weekend, so hopefully everything will get done then.

I love your bathroom with the cute red towels. That is so nice. And that plant in the pink pot is just right for your kitchen. That view out to the balcony is so beautiful!

    1. When you have a place as small as ours, Kathy...there is not much to take down. I so downsized when we moved. I usually don't do Valentines till Feb 1st too. A jump ahead this year.

    1. Martha, I want you back at the Tree House. Those are some of my favorite memories living here. The cinnamon roll bread is so easy and so good. (no yeast)

  8. Sometimes all you need are a few decorations. Glad you found places to hang up yours. I got my valentine napkins out, does that count???

  9. Everything looks terrific and the meal also sounds delicious. Have a good day, it's now about 2:45 here, just took a pan of Duncan Hines Brownies from the oven. That will be dessert this evening for supper. This is Thursday, which means pasta night. Some of the girls will be here. Tonight it's the trio pasta, and everyone can add their own sauce, some like a lot, some don't, salad, and garlic-cheese biscuits, plus the brownies. I try not to stand for long periods of time, since that causes the lower back, hips and knees to hurt. I go again this coming Tuesday the 20th for another Trigger Injection. The one I got before Christmas has lasted the longest, so far. Tell Don hello from cold Ohio.

    1. Patty you continue to amaze me with all you do for your family. They are the lucky ones. I can just see you puttering around the kitchen making sure there is dessert... You are a special lady... It's warm here, and I don't think Don would like to be living in his birthplace Ohio. Hugs.
