THROW BACK THURSDAY

My dearest was called to be the pastor of First Baptist Church in Hughson, CA in 1981.  We had the pleasure of serving there for 27 years.  This picture of my sister Donna and me was taken our first Christmas there.  I loved decorating for holidays in that parsonage with the country kitchen and fireplace.

The picture is old and blurry, but it brings back wonderful memories of living close enough to my sister to share holidays.

Today we are both grey and great grandma's and it's strange to see us as brunette and redhead.  HaHa.

    1. I lost a lot of my old pictures when my computer crashed, but need to organize that box of "real" photos in our storage on the balcony.

  7. I love old Christmas photos too. Almost every one has a good memory attached. I especially love Christmases spent with family and will be missing both Mom and Dad this year.

  8. i love seeing you and your sis! I can see you loved to decorate for Christmas. I use to when I had a bigger house. I'll have to throw some of my oldies up some day.

  11. Dear Wanda,
Just wanted to drop by and say hello. I happened upon your lovely blog a few months ago, and enjoy your postings very much.
Hughson is very dear to me, as it is where my father and dear Step-mother live still. I however, am in Scotland which is so very far away. I miss my family, and Hughson very much indeed.
I wonder if I might ask for a prayer request? My Step-mom, who is very much my mother, is very ill just now. Would you mind saying a special prayer for her? I want so much to see her again.
In the meantime, thank you for all you do to inspire and encourage all of us.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
    Blessings,
    Christine
