FRI~DATE

We were busy Tuesday, so had to postpone our "Tuesdate" to Friday...so today was "Fridate"  It rained hard last night so lunch at Wendy's an a hot chili and coffee hit the spot.

The sun came out, and this is the view from Wendy's.

We were able to visit a couple Thrift Stores, and I found a long black skirt and silver and black top to wear for our Christmas Dinner at church.  The photo doesn't show, but the top has sparkles.  Total outfit $7.00.

What was your Friday like?

I did shopping and some baking..we're having a Christmas party at our home Sunday night. A beautiful but cold day!

    1. The outfit actually looks better on that on the hanger with my blue nightgown in the background HaHa.

I saw your cookies and drooled. Maybe it was the drizzle frosting... Have fun at your party. Our's is Sunday night at our new church.

  2. We like Wendy's chili, too. I adore your new outfit. Very stylish and festive for Christmas. We discovered a hungry, thirsty lost kitty cat and took her to the vet. She was chipped and the vet was able to contact her owners and they happily and thankfully picked her up! I will admit, I cried a few tears!!! lol

    1. Oh Mildred, I love that you and your hubby were good samaritans. Molly has a chip incase we ever lose her. I would have cried a few tears too.

  4. I haven't been to a Chilies in years - i always loved their blackened chicken pasta. I also love thrift stores and will only buy my jeans there. I can't buy much anymore in the way of other stuff because when selling and moving - i had to get rid of so much and I can't bring much home. So good seeing what you are up to now a days.

The skirt and top are a nice outfit and I like a bit of sparkle. The price is certainly right too. xo Catherine

  8. Wanda, I just love it when the Mrs. and I get out Christmas shopping, and we get that rare moment to just be the two of us sitting together to eat.... Wendy's, McD's, or anywhere! The place doesn't matter---it's the togetherness that takes the prize.

  12. Terrific outfit Wanda. You sure find treasures when you Thrift Shop. Love your Fridate too. The place really doesn't matter, it's the "date" you are there with..(:0)
My Friday consisted of watching the water rise in the backyard...Thank goodness for our little pump.
Friday night we went to Amanda's high school winter band concert.
It was simply outstanding. They had only had the music for 8 days since they have been in Field Marching competition for the last 3 months. Totally different music and now they can actually sit and play instead of going up and down the football field.
These kids are really talented. Amanda played Mellophone for marching and now it's back to French Horn for symphonic....different fingering, valves and aumbrachure. Sp??. I don't know how she does what she does.
Do I sound like a proud Grandma? I am!
