AN EXCELLENT SUNDAY

It has been a wonderful Sunday.  It started with a good morning service at, Christ Community Church.  Then our children took my dearest and me our to a wonderful lunch to celebrate his 77th birthday.

Then a quick rest this afternoon, and back to the church this evening for a Celebration of Christmas with a dinner, fabulous concert and then cookies and coffee.  I took the top picture just before the Concert started.  Wish you could have heard the hour of Christmas music.  Choirs, Solos, Violin, flutes, children.  It just doesn't get any better.  Every note, every song and word told the true meaning of Christmas and gave God all the glory.  OK, now I'm ready for Christmas.

  8. Happy Birthday to your dear hubby!
Those Christmas trees... Absolutely gorgeous! WOW!
I love the Christmas music and programs that are going on this time of year. Last night we had the pleasure of hearing one of our grandsons and my dear Stephanie sing with her hubby in their Christmas program. We learned of the Christmas songs and where they originated from, just lovely.

God's best to you, Christ's blessings on you.

  9. Love the look and feel of your Church at Christmas.
I do miss the coziness of a smaller church at Christmas.
Enjoying my music at home while I putter around the house.
I'm confused. I thought Don's birthday was last month. It's so nice to be able to celebrate with your kids now that you are closer.

    1. Sue, you are RIGHT and WRONG. Don loves to mess with people, and he's been doing it since he was born...that is the problem. When he turned 65 and applied for SS they need a copy of his birth certificate. Hard get, but finally out of Ohio public records we got a copy and it said 11/14/37, Don's mom told him his birthday was 12/14/37. He had never seen his birth certificate. We think that because he was a premi and only weighed 2 lbs. he was in the hospital a month, and he probably came home on 12/14/37. Any way he is legally 77 on 11/14, but we've been celebrating on 12/14 for too many years to change. fb has his legal BD.

    2. Whew, now I sort of remember you telling us that but I guess senior moments got in the way.
Anyway he certainly is 77 years YOUNG!
Give him an extra hug from me please. (:0)
