A CHRISTMAS DATE

My dearest took me to MiMi's for a Christmas Lunch.  I woke up yesterday with the sniffles, but was feeling much better today and ready for a Christmas Date with my honey.

Started out with a very tasty cafe latte.

One of my favorite breakfast out is Eggs Benedict with honey ham on a crescent roll.  This one had to be one of the best I've ever had.  eggs were poached just to perfection.

Marshall's store is in the same mall as MiMi's so we took a stroll through the doggie section and came home with a new bed for Molly.  Hers is old and falling apart, so now she had a wonderfully soft and new bed to sleep in.

Everything but the last minute baking for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are done.  I'm enjoying relaxing and resting to get over the sniffles.   Perhaps a cup of coffee and a slice of fruitcake would be my medicine of choice.. HaHa

    1. I think the background of the cafe made for a nice Christmas picture. We didn't plan to wear black, but glad we both decided that. Merry Christmas Mildred, and family.

I need to wrap. Did some today but will finish tomorrow. A little last minute baking and I'm done, too!

    1. Betsy, that fruitcake and coffee did the trick. Feel better already. Molly is sleeping in her new bed as I type and looks very sound asleep. It's bigger than her old falling apart one.

    1. Oh Linda...my mom was the Queen of Vicks... If she couldn't poke it in you, she'd rub it on you...I can smell it now. I pray you will wake up renewed and refreshed and smelling like a rose instead of Vicks. HaHa.

The cards never made it out this year. I guess they will be New Years cards instead. (:0)

    1. Patty I decided it's silly to only have fruitcake at Christmas when I love it so much. Think I'll make another one with the ingred. I have left over. Sending love and Merry Christmas to you and Abe and all your family.

  16. Love eggs Benedict and those look delish. What a snuggly bed for Miss Molly. I celebrated with friends yesterday, but both my parents and I were under the weather today, so we are postponing Christmas until the weekend. Hope you are fully recovered and enjoy your time with family. Merry Christmas! Rejoice!
