WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING AND A CLOSE SHAVE

Thanksgiving in the Senior Lounge at our Complex was wonderful.  The family all around one long table full of delicious food.  I usually have the camera, but I see someone got a shot of me with my mouth full!

The food table was crowded with every kind of delicious traditional Thanksgiving dishes. A few of our precious grandchildren filling their plates.

All of a sudden we noticed all the men were gone!!!  A trip up to the apartment and it was obvious they had turned my living room into a "Man Cave" and brought the TV into the living room and rearranged my furniture to see the football game.  Gotta love them, because when the game was over...they put everything back in its place.

And what about that "CLOSE SHAVE" ~~that's what Molly got today at the Vet.  We felt a lump on her back and it was soft and felt like a fatty pocket.  Well, it got a little bigger, and she rubbed it on the bed frame and broke it.  So today they cleaned it out, shaved a square of her hair, and gave her some antibiotics.   I have some medication to apply for 7 days and they it should be all cleared up.

How was your Thanksgiving.  Today I started with my Christmas decorations.  Going to take it slower this year and not try to do it in one day.

  1. The celebration looks terrific. And I am laughing at the testosterone element - too funny! Poor, wee Molly - I am glad she will be okay.

    1. Suza, I'm laughing at your comment. Yeah, those guys are pretty funny. Where there's a will they find a way.
Molly is sleeping really sound right now.

Dave and our friend Karen watched football too. Not a good game for the 9ers.....(:0(

    1. Sue it was one of the best ever Thanksgivings. We all had so much fun, and then we drew names for gift exchange for Christmas...too big of family to buy for everyone. The game our men watched was a disappointment too.

  3. is that a room that families can use for large gatherings, if it is that is such a great idea!!!! I am so sorry about Molly, but wasn't she smart to rub it to allow it to drain, I hope she heals quickly, Happy belated Thanksgiving to you and your beautfiul family!

    1. Yes, we have two clubhouses in the complex. The Senior Lounge we used is smaller, but holds 24 and we had 17 so it was perfect. You can reserve it for family gatherings or parties.

  5. Looks like you had a very nice thanksgiving! I could pick out some of your kids and grands...so fun to see them.

Same thing happened here at our home...men in the family room to watch football....and the girls went in the living room to watch a movie!

    1. Those grand kids are growing up. Remember when I was posting "little kids". While the men watch the football, we played games like Song Titles, or Movie Lines...Fun all the way around, and the last piece of pecan pie will be my breakfast in a few minutes.

  6. How wonderful for you! You may live in a tree house with all the conveniences that make it perfect ~ then you also have access to a great entertainment area ! Win! Win ! Enjoy the decorating process !

    1. Thanks Linda. We find living here has many benefits. Well, the bathroom is decorated for Christmas, and the Blue is gone....and splashes of RED everywhere and I love it. Started in the living room, and will do the kitchen today. Going much faster since I have a much smaller place to decorate.

  9. Love your family gathering. There is nothing quite like having everyone in the same place at the same time and finding them all smiling.

PS. I think you probably couldn't have found a better place to call home than the tree house.

  10. Our Thanksgiving was very quiet, just the three of us. We liked it that way and hubby helped with the preparation and cleanup. Glad to hear that Molly is healing!
