SOME THINGS I ENJOY.

  • Don and I have started to enjoy "bun~less" hamburgers as we cut carbs.  Believe it or not under all those good things, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and mushrooms is a sirloin burger patty.   Mayo, mustard and ketchup...of course but NO bun.

  • On my way to Target, I saw a group of teenagers by the High School holding up car wash signs.  They did a great job and it was a reminder of all the car washes we were involved with when our kids were in school.  I bought my little Nissan Sentra new in 2000.  She still runs so good, and with a new paint job, looks good too.

  • My dearest had lunch at MiMi's with a friend and brought me home a blueberry muffin.  What a thoughtful guy.

  • We buy half and half by the half gallon, and I pour it into a smaller container, and refill as needed.  When we were up North I was in a local market, and they had Organic Half and Half from a local farmer in a darling little glass bottle.  Now I have a really cute container for my half and half.

    1. We don't eat red meat often, but when we do, it's usually a sirloin burger.

    1. Betsy I thought the little milk bottle looked like something you might find at your auction. It's expensive, but that's because you can recycle the bottle for $1.50.

The burger was missing avocado, was out!!

  6. The burger looks good with all that yummy stuff. However, hold the pickle and give me a bun! I really like your half and half container. Although I had made a search for a little cream pitcher, I could never find anything with a lid on it. Mimi's muffins are yummy.
I have been thinking of doing a post about some of the favorite things around my house, too. Have a great Monday.

    1. I was really glad it had a tight fitting lid. We've already enjoyed it a lot. I like glass anyway better than a carton.

I'll be looking for your post on your favorite things.

  7. I thought of you as I filled my thrift store creamers with honey for our sopaipillas yesterday afternoon. So much nicer than dumping it out of a squeeze bottle or scooping it out of the jar.

You are lucky girl to score a blueberry muffin like that, and I think I should start eating bunless burgers too. They look just as yummy without being sandwiched.

    1. So fun to use something that you found at the thrift store. Your sopaipillas sound delicious.

That muffin was big enough to share...so Don and I had it with coffee after dinner.

  12. Hello Wanda, I am catching up on past posts this a.m. It always makes me feel good to get my car washed! That half and half bottle is darling. I use half and half each a.m. in my coffee. Your bun-less burger looks delicious. Your husband was so thoughtful to bring you a muffin. Hope you two have a great Saturday. Mildred
