ODDS AND ENDS SATURDAY

When we were in Oregon we visited the Farmers Market and I bought several jars of jam.  The lady who makes them is Jean, and her label is "Jean's Jam".  She had Apricot, Balsamic Strawberry and Blueberry.  If you buy three, she packages them in a cute little wooden tray and ties it with a cord.  I bought some for the friends we stayed with.

We visited a Thrift Store, and Jill found an Oreo Cookie Jar.  Isn't that the cutest.

While we were at Sue's she sent a bag of pomegranates with us to Jill's.  They always look so pretty in a bowl.

I spent the morning deep cleaning as dust seems to come visiting while you are on vacation.  Clean sheets on the bed, pilgrim sandwich for lunch, and now a trip to Target to find some sun glasses.  A good Saturday.

  3. A Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning, what fun! We have one here and I intended to go this morning for a blueberry cream cheese pie that they were selling. I love homemade jelly. I used to buy pear relish at the market for my daddy. He ate with all veggies. Glad you had a great day. I know you are missing your Tristen.

    1. She is so good at finding unique cookies jars. She has one that looks like an ice cream cone, and one that looked like a purse. This one was really cute and unique.

  6. Love the cookie jar! You have the best luck at thrift stores and maybe Jill has inherited that gene. I stopped at Savers today and picked up two parlor games, and a seeming brand new pair of jeans for Josiah who was wearing one with a huge hole in the thigh. (Unfortunately, they were still $13, but that's at least half of what a pair of Levi's would be new.

    1. Jill is a great thrift store shopper. She does find rare and unique things. Levi's are really expensive aren't they? When I go to see Elizabeth next week, I'll make a quick stop at Sun Thrift. Hope I'm lucky!

    1. I sent you an email, but Turkey, baby swiss cheese, a slice of cranberry sauce and lettuce. mayo of course. Usually it's the sandwich with Thanksgiving leftovers, but I had some sliced turkey, and a can of cranberry sauce in the cupboard...so Pilgrim it was.

  8. i recently purchased some "designer" jams at the Fall Home Show - some were chutneys and some jellies. So delicious. And on the same trip bought sweet and savoury shortbreads. Yum! I have never seen an Oreo cookie jar before.

Have a slight case of vertigo and low grade temp. Just staying put today. Not quite up to par.
