LAST LEG OF THE TRIP

Saying goodbye was sad, leaving the Little Big Man.  It was a precious 2 weeks, but now we have left Oregon and the Coast and heading back to Southern CA.

The Harbor is literally walking distance from Jill's house and the smell of the ocean is one of my favorite smells.

Jaya caught 5 Salmon while we were there and we feasted on it several times.

A couple of nights with dear friends where use to live, and a day with my sister then the drive home on Tuesday.  I've loved being with family and friends, but there is no place like home, and I'm looking forward to my own bed and Tree house.

Looked for a new laptop in Oregon (so I wouldn't have to pay sales tax) but didn't find what I wanted, so that will be a project when I get home...Sharing Don's is great....but I want my own. HaHa.

Love and Hugs

    1. Hi Susie. You would have loved the ocean and the harbor. Love seeing all the boats and sea gulls. It was a great time, but home is sounding real good.

  3. I feel the very same way!! Going is a wonderful thing but returning HOME - even MORE so!!! Louis Dean says that we are too old for all the WORK it takes to vacation!!! He said, "Having FUN is a lot of WORK!!!" He may be right. Still......we will probably want to go somewhere again someday......just not any time soon!! Safe travel, my dear friend!! And I hope you get just the very thing you want in a laptop!

    1. Hi Suza...yes that ocean was wonderful. I did get a little rock and piece of drift wood to remind me. Oh yes, the pool!!! Hope the weather stays warm a little longer.

    2. I pick up little stones or shells or driftwood when I am away too - lovely reminders and something so personal.

  8. Safe rest of the drive home.
I'm so glad we had the extra time together...short as it was. That little guy of yours is a sweetheart and I'm happy you got to spend time with him and the parents.
I don't blame you...there is nothing like home and your own bed...even Molly will be happy to be on her "perch" at the Tree House.
Good luck in finding just the computer you want. Sharing is nice but your own is the best.
Love you and Don so much....I think we have a special kind of glue that just sticks us together in an exceptional way.
    Sue (Dave too)
