TOUCHES OF FALL~ 2014

It's very different decorating in a new place.  Same decorations but now I have to find different places to put them.  I now have my "Coffee Center" on the tea cart which Jill gave us.  Decided to use my pumpkin jar for the coffee container.  Used the coffee table for some of my favorite pumpkins, including my soup tureen.  Set the table with my fall dishes and my pumpkin pie dish.

My mirror picks up some reflections of the dinning room.  I love my wooden Pilgrims that I found a couple of years ago in McCall, Idaho.  A Harvest Coffee candle sure gives out an inviting smell.

Molly has some allergies to wheat and corn and most dog treats and biscuits have both.  I went on line and found a recipe for "Pumpkin" dog treats.  Made with canned pumpkin, cream of rice cereal and powder milk.  They are small and chewy.  She approves.  Now she taking a nap on the balcony.  Hope you have a great week.

  1. The trees around here are being "toughed" by fall too. Some are turning colors already! I hope there are still some colors left when I get back from my wanderings.

    1. Most of our trees are still green. I want them to stay so the balcony will be shady when you come.

  2. Beautiful fall décor, Wanda. Love your pumpkin tureen. Is that Molly's tail? Looks like a beautiful, feathery fan!

    1. Yes, that's Molly's tail. When she stands up, it curls up over her back. I use my tureen in the winter for homemade potato soup, or veggie stew.

    1. Linda, I really had to downsized with my decorations and the rules about hanging things in and out of the apt. But I like the simple things I put out, and it does give the house a fall feel!! Would love to visit your Fall Linda Land ~ loved your blog pics.

  5. Everything looks so nice and cozy. Our dog will eat any and everything, even the cat food, so we have to feed the cat on the washing machine

Still working on my Mothers house, getting things ready for an auction. So glad my girls have been able to help, I know I wouldn't have been able to with the knees and lower back problems I've been having. The household items will be auctioned off on Sept. 27th starting at 9am. Not sure when they will auction off the house.

I just finished the few dishes, and want to run over to our daughter that lives here in town and take her some watermelon.
    Have a great week.

  6. Wanda....I love that you put out such lovely touches for the changing seasons!
My daughter gave me a clear pumpkin bowl with lid the other day....I was thinking of building a terrarium inside, with a few "fall" touches....
I still need to bake my pie...supposed to cool down a bit here...I think THIS Thursday will be the day!
So exciting about you and Martha! I just discovered that Suza lives quite close to me! Perhaps a coffee is in the future!
    Enjoy your evening....
    Cheers!
    Linda :o)

    1. I did so much less this year with the apartment. I really like keeping it simple. Less to take down after Fall too. Weather wise, it still feels like summer here.

    1. Kathy ~ The pumpkins dog treats didn't hold up, they were too moist, and I had to discard them. I'm sending you by email a utube for a dog biscuit that is crunchy. I'm going to try them next.
