THIS AND THAT

Today we did some running around.  I wanted to check out the Library in Monrovia as the one in Baldwin Park is under renovation and will not be open for a couple of months.  The Monrovia Library is just beautiful and big.  This interesting tree was on the grounds and I wanted Don to take my picture so you can see the size of the tree.  Also a beautiful water fountain.  I know we are in a drought, but this water is being recycled.

After dropping off Molly at a new groomer, and visiting the Library we had lunch at a old fashioned "Diner from the 50's" called Leroy's Original.  The red padded booths, the people eating at the counter, and the signs and décor on the wall's....all 50's.

It's really fun checking out our new area.  Monrovia is the cutest town, with all kinds of shops and eating places.  We like the new groomer, Gabriel and looking at a new Vet there too.

What's going on in your neck of the woods??

  1. How delightful to hear your voice! Loved the video and the coffee and salad look good! We love places like this to eat. So happy you are getting to know the area and finding a good groomer for Molly.
My girlfriend from childhood visited Sat. and former neighbors visited Sun. We had a good weekend.

    1. You could see by the end of the little video, my dearest was ready for me to turn it off. HaHa. Molly looks really good, and wasn't a bit shy to stay with the gentlemen, and was calm when we picked her up. Good sign. We'll go back.

    1. They had some books I was looking for, but because we don't have our new address on our drivers license, we have to take back some mail with our current address on it. So that means I get to take another trip to this cute little town.

  4. I am still making a valiant attempt to keep my schedule from crowding out my ability to do what needs to be done. We've started the "Great Clean Out" over at Mom's house. Thankfully, it's mostly just dirt, some bigger pieces of furniture, and a few odds and ends.

    1. Oh I feel for you with the "GCO". Will you have a sale for the furniture? Martha we must visit Monrovia when you visit. Some really cute shops and café and coffee shops.

    1. I don't think he really thought I was going to post it, HaHa...yes he was ready to get the salad finished, as we were going to half a "Hoggie" sandwich. Steak, grilled onions and bell peppers, Swiss cheese on sour dough. It was good!!! So was the coffee.
