FALL?????

This time last year my entire house had been transformed into "Fall" colors.  It hit me this morning as I was having my coffee and devotions on the balcony and this leaf fluttered down!  Yes, it's August and Fall is coming up fast.

I hate to admit it, but somewhere in our storage unit on the balcony is a bin of Fall Decorations.  "Somewhere" is the problem and since I'm still adjusting to moving in....I think they will just stay there.  Maybe I'll look for them and put out a few things in September.  For now, I'm just happy to enjoy watching a few falling leaves on the balcony.  I think I will change my header!

Have the trees started wearing fall colors yet where you live?

    1. I thought it was unique as it had all the changing colors from green to brown. Love the shape of maple leaves.

  2. Yes a few of the trees around us are beginning to turn. I think the lack of water isn't helping any.
I'll bet you find a great thrift store near you and will discover a few "new" fall decorations for your Tree House.

    1. I'm so glad our water is paid here in the complex. We are still careful, but in Sunland we had that big yard to water.

Maybe that's what I need.. just a little something new to put out.

  4. Our trees are dressed in green. Only the days and nights are feeling fallish, but I'm not about to admit it yet. They say we're expecting an early winter in the northeast, whatever that means.

    1. Being in a new place, it hard to judge the trees. But I really thought that leaf that fell was unique with all the colors.

  5. Wanda, You are going for the natural fall decorations.:):) I do not put out so many decorations. I do more at Christmas and that's about it. I try to have a nice door wreath every season. Hope you are enjoying your balcony. xoxo,Susie

    1. They have a lot of rules about what we decorate outdoors with, but we can have a wreath. Maybe I'll find a new one this year.

  6. Pretty leaf, but nothing here has turned yet and won't this early. We had such a long winter and late spring that I think perhaps summer will hold on for a bit. Mind you we have had a cooler summer compared to the usual... but I am loving it! You might line a glass bowl or vase with your falling leaves and they would look very festive behind the glass. Or put some in the corners of a mirror... I like the reflection of glass.

    1. I like your idea of a glass bowl with the colored leaves. I will do that. The mirror is a good idea too. Thanks!

    1. I remember all your decorations last season. Your laundry room is a huge project. Is Amber having knee replacements? She's so young.

  8. We have noticed a few trees with color. Autumn is certainly my favorite season. I don't blame you for enjoying this delightful weather rather than sorting thru storage containers for fall décor.

    1. On our way back from our walk with Molly this evening I saw a tree on the other side of the complete that's completely golden. I will get a picture of it tomorrow.

  9. haha...not yet! Although I do love fall the best, I'm a purist and don't celebrate until the official September 21st. Everything is still green here...so far!

  10. I love Fall, but doesn't happen here. Trees look the same all year long. The only change is when winter arrives and flowers can begin to bloom and grow. :) Hope all is going well in your new place. Best wishes, Tammy
