NEW YORK COMES TO THE TREE HOUSE

It's hard to contain my excitement.  This is a very special blog friend and her hubby.  I met Martha on my blog several years ago, and immediately clicked with a sister in the Lord and so many other things we had in common.  Over the past couple of years she has been the care giver for her mother.  It was hard for her to leave for any period of time as her mom lived with her and James until her passing a few month ago.

Fast forward ~ Martha's dear husband had some flyer miles accumulated and thought since Martha now had a little free time, and a needed a well deserved vacation ~ why not fly to CA and visit Wanda in her new Tree House.  Thanks James ~ what a great gift to Martha and Me.

September 16th I'll be waiting to pick up Martha at LAX. For you blogger friends that love Martha, as I do, will be just as excited as me.   Now I have to start planning fun things for us to see and do.

How many blog friends have you met in person?

  2. Oh Wanda, this is so exciting.
You two will have the time of your lives.
How nice of her husband to do that for her.
To answer the question, I have met 3 through blogs, and 2 are now Life Long friends. One I lost touch with. She doesn't blog any more.

  3. Exciting! I feel I know Martha through Betsy's blog. So nice you will be able to spend time together. I have met five people from blogland in real life (including Betsy!) and each time was a great experience. It's always so crazy when you think about the fact that you never would have met this person any other way than through their blog. I love it!

  4. I have lost track of how many blog friends I have met in person. Let's see... there was Tracy and her husband Dennis, Gudrun, Apple and her sister Country Girl, Kim and Kristina from Minnesota (that was last year when I went to see my son Jim), and... oh, Della who has more kids than I do (16), Stacy who saw us come onto her floor at the hospital when my dad was sick, and I think that's it... so far. I think that's 8. One day, probably before I get to California, I might get up to meet Linda too. That would be fun and if only Betsy's place was on the way home from Minneapolis... So many wonderful friends to meet out there.

    2. And five of those bloggers lived relatively close to me. Does that still count?

  13. Fun! I'm guessing they won't be staying in the tree house, however? :) I'm sure you will make a grand host indeed.

In answer to your question: I've actually met 4 blogger people (not friends per se) who I really didn't know that well and didn't really connect as it were. However, of them, Alex and I not only became friends, we found out that we had a lot n common..and now, years later we're married, so there!
In fact, Alex and I just met a blogger friend of a blogger artist we both knew long before we knew eachother-- Susan Black in Nova Scotia. sSo funny, as neither of us have ever met the infamous Susan but now we know one of her friends who was amazed to find out that the person she had been following forever actually had another follower (Alex) who lo and behold moved to and now liveds in the same Setate and town too! Small word, it really is!
