WELCOME BACK OVEN

This morning I had a small Welcome Back party for my oven.  We decided on my Cinnamon Sour Cream Coffee Cake to celebrate her return.

I enjoyed my piece on a plate I found at the thrift store that was a perfect match for the mug Martha sent me at Christmas (filled with cookies).  Some drizzle and while it was still hot...a dallop of butter melting on top.  Oh it was so good!

I didn't do any packing today.  I did clean my computer area and tossed a lot of clutter surrounding my computer in the trash.  See I'm already decluttering..(is that a word).

I sat down and gave my friend Elizabeth a call to see how she was doing.  With all that was going on last week, I didn't get over to visit her.  She's doing well, and looking forward to my next visit.  So am I  ~ I miss her.

Hope you are having a great day.

  4. Glad that you got your coffee cake. It looks great! It is always good to have something back...an oven, a washing machine, a coffee maker... Happy packing and decluttering! I surely would have traded a few hours work for a piece of that cake and a cup of coffee.

    1. Amy, I feel so rested this morning after taking a break yesterday. Going to pace myself today, but going to sort through some Christmas and Fall decorations.

  12. I'm so glad you could pace yourself and take some time off from packing. It does boost the energy levels.
    Yummy looking coffee cake.
We had some Walmart brand cinnamon rolls this morning...blah! Glad I didn't have them for Bible Study last night. We prayed for you two and your move and the application process. That was our last get together until fall. We will have several just for fun BBQ's though.
Today we need to do some shopping and some photography for some Ebay items we need to sell. I think we are helping serve dinner at Celebrate Recovery tonight. Not hard job, just helping and visiting. And so the days roll on....Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Sue, I'm so proud of myself...today I got 4 bins of Christmas decorations down to 2. Hot diggity dog!
And 3 bins of Fall down to 2. My moving boxes are looking smaller, and the yard sale bigger. That's good.
Thanks for the prayers...have a good weekend too.
