MOTHER OF THE BRIDE

Monique's wedding June 14th has me reflecting on her mom's wedding almost 30 years.  Our oldest daughter Michel wore my wedding dress that you see hanging behind me.  The bag on the chair is the hoop underskirt.  If the dress I'm wearing looks a little "tight" is was.

Three months before the wedding my daughter found this dress and loved it, and bought it for me.  However, I was a size 10 and the dress was an 8.  So for three months I lived on salad and birdseed and poured myself into the dress for the wedding.  I dared not laugh to hard, or sneeze or I'm sure I would have busted right out of it.

Thank goodness my dress for Monique's wedding is a very comfortable fit!!!

    1. Thanks Linda. I've packed all my tea things, and beginning the sorting of what to keep, what to sell, and what to donate. Thanks goodness our kids are taking all the patio furniture in the back yard.

  6. That is too funny! I'm a size 10 too. I bet you couldn't wait to get out of that dress afterwards. I hate for things to feel too tight on me. I'm going to a wedding this weekend myself.
