THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE REALLY UGLY !

The Good ~ Summer like days, and refreshing Ice Tea!

The Good ~ Molly getting her "Summer" cut..So cute!

The Bad ~ Oven went out when I had a batch of cookie to go in.  Oh well, let's try the BBQ.

The Really UGLY ~ Don't try this at home! HaHa.  I had the cookie dough ready...oven wouldn't come on.   Oh the BBQ should work, I'll just keep it on low...Old fashioned...two settings ~ High and Low.  Bottoms burnt to a crisp...tops look pretty good.  Was able to save the two at the bottom.  They were at the very end of the cookie sheet.  Sometimes I'm amazed at my genius, and other times I'm amazed at my stupidity.

But If I never did stupid things, what in the world would I blog about... Life isn't always perfect cookies is it?  (The rest of the dough is in the freezer)   Not all is lost.  HaHa.

Can anyone relate??

  2. Oh that is kind of funny. Sad your oven is out...but to B_B-Q. My children's father did that once. He fixed burgers for the girls, while I was working, then did a tray of slice/bake cookies. They were hard and black. The girls talked about those cookies forever. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. haha...oh yes, I can relate! Maybe if you flipping them like pancakes?

    Molly sure looks cute!

I needed lemon zest for cookies and had the lemon left, so I sliced it and put it in a pitcher of water. It's tasted SO good today!

  5. Molly looks like a princess! Wanda we bake pizza in the BBQ, the trick is to light only half the BBQ and cook on the half thats not lit, put the lid down and it will bake, did I explain that right? I give terrible directions honestly,

    1. Well, that sounds very logical to me... I will remember that the next time I'm thinking pizza or cookies and the oven is out.!!

    1. Leave it to a man to come up with the best solution ever. My grandson was very happy I took the leftover cookie dough to their house today...their oven in working, if Jon doesn't eat all the dough first.

  10. I tried to make pizza on the BBQ last year - disaster, burnt and very very nasty!! You are right though, it is good to try things, and now we know, no cookies on the BBQ! I hope that your oven is working again now! xx
