SENIOR TUESDAY

Today was a good Senior Day at the Thrift Shop (30 %).  Found a couple darling Easter books for Tristan and Chelenne (my DIL loves bunnies and children's books) so the Easter Egg book is for her.
A Cassette (Moonlight Piano)  Listen to piano music every night to fall asleep.
A pewter bowl (Martha Stewart)
A cute little pottery plate.. (my plate addiction)
And my dearest found a Fiesta Mug...which completes my set of eight.

April 1st a new month and new determination.  Smaller portions and lots of veggies and salads.

HAPPY APRIL EVERYONE.  I HOPE FLOWERS AND SUNSHINE ARE IN YOUR LIFE TODAY.

    1. The paintings in the book are beautiful, that why I've giving to Chelenne instead of the great grankids. A bit hard for them to read, and I know C. will love it.

  4. You found some great treasures. Your meal looks healthy and delicious. We are having very warm, sunny days and trees are beginning to bud. A glorious time of year.
    Have a wonderful evening.

    1. Sometimes it just the "little" things that bring me happiness and jump in my cart.

So glad the sun is on your face and the trees are budding. (I'm smiling)

  5. Hi, Wanda!
Every time I visit you, I try to become a follower, but Google has other ideas. :(
Anyway, your treasures are wonderful! The thought of listening to piano music every night to go to sleep is delightful. Catching up on past posts....
Dante' story tickled me, your parsonage for the 27 years was great to see. My favorite home would be our current one, but I do dream of fruit trees and more gardens. And your watercolor amazes again! Wow!

    1. Carol, I know that "following thing is frustrating"..If you will go to our blog friend "NanaDiana" above she gives the instruction on how to bypass what they say, and it actually works.
I do love piano music...wish I had learned to play but never did. (Most Pastor's wives I know play the piano) Not me!!
Dante is a sweet neighbor, and I did love that big country kitchen in our old parsonage.
Thanks for the nice words on the painting.
I grew up with a big garden and fruit trees.. Miss that!!!

    1. Betsy, every time something jumped into my cart, you came to mind. HaHa The funny thing, I looked at the cups and mugs and didn't see that ONE Fiesta mug. A little later Don came up to me with a big smile...and I knew he found something good. Yes, 8 Fiesta mugs is a set. And today's mug was 75 cents less 30%. So much fun.

    1. The books are really beautiful in perfect condition. The one for Tristan has the big thick pages for little hands.

  8. Finding good deals is fun. Sometimes I think I want to go thrift shopping, and then I remember I have a ton of stuff in my barn attic from my mom's house. Maybe I need to have a thrifty sale of my own instead.

  11. Wanda, great finds at the thrift shop. I LOVE the little Easter books. I have a few sweet books put aside for when I ever have grandchildren. Books can just speak to you, can't they? You always seem to do so well with your meals - healthy and delicious is how they look.

    1. The books are perfect. The only problem I have is parting with them. I love children's books, and especially if the art work is done in watercolor.

  12. We had lots of sunshine today and I saw the first bluebonnets. I'm going to have to get a few pictures of them. Smaller portions for me also, and a little exercise. Promise.
