HERE COMES THE SUN

Last week after watching our grandson Jon (13) come across the finish line of a 7 mile run, we all went out for Mexican food.  The restaurant was very colorful and decorated with "suns" everywhere.

No, the picture is not upside down...that is what was above our heads at the table.

While we waited for our meal, I started taking pictures, as I have a sign in my kitchen that says "Here come the Sun" and I like suns.  Since many of you are still digging out of snow...I wanted to share some California Sunshine!

She was the prettiest, so I ask my dearest to take a picture of us together.

It was a delightful place to eat and the food was delicious as you can see below!!

Don and I split a burrito and this was my half...It was just wonderful, and I love cilantro so piled some on top. No leftovers here, I enjoyed every bite.

So wherever you live ~~ I hope you enjoyed a little bit of "Sun".  Be sure to sing along.

  5. I'm waiting for the big kids to arrive for dinner and I'm starving! haha. Your burrito looks wonderful even through the screen. I pile on the cilantro, too! What a fun time going out after the sports event!

Love the suns...and the Beatles! Tapping my toes!

    1. I know the big kids love coming to dinner at your house. That burrito was one of the best I've ever had...we will go back there for sure. I had to laugh, all this wonderful food, and all Jon wanted was the strawberry cheesecake. After the race he ate a banana, cookie, etc. and Gatorade so he was ready for dessert.

  7. Oh, yummy! That can make me miss New Mexico and all the wonderful Mexican food they have. (Or is that New Mexican food?) We do have a few pretty good Mexican Restaurants around here too. I've been thinking it's about time to pay one of them a visit.

    1. We have it in abundance here. In fact, on the little street we live, one block up is a main street, and there is El Pollo Loco, Taco Bell, and a little Mexican cafรฉ all walking distance.

    2. I don't think Taco Bell counts.
      ;)

    3. Taco Bell is for people whose Mexican taste buds have not developed yet.

    1. Some songs I don't mind...."Here comes the sun..do dah....." Yes Jon is a runner. He is a mean lean machine and out of 350 kids in his school who do the annual run he came across the finish line in the first group...So proud.

  11. Burrito looks delicious Wanda. Those suns remind me of Panzons, a Mexican restaurant close to where we used to live.
