EASTER COLORS

The colors of Easter are so many.  Some soft and gentle, some vibrant and bold.  I've shared a few of the colors around my house.

The baskets in the top left were made for my childhood friend Kris, and her SIL where we share a wonderful dinner the other night.  Put a couple of my knitted dish cloths, a bag of cookies and little jars of rosemary salt and vanilla sugar in each one.  Age has nothing to do with enjoying an Easter Basket, does it?

Top right is Molly checking out a new friend.  My daughter is going to refurbish an old trunk we have in the garage and when cleaning it out found the doll we used for "Baby Jesus" in the Christmas manger (without the modern clothes of course).  I brought the doll in and laid him on the bed.  It was so cute watching Molly very gently checking to see if it was real I had to grab the camera.

Bottom left is a darling wood bird I found at the thrift store, complete with jewels in the flowers.  On the bottom the tag said  "Ross for Less"....but I paid much less than the tag.

The bottom right is my little birds watching over the eggs I dyed bright colors for the picture, but as you can see in the new header, I prefer the pastel colored eggs (not real) as we will be eating the real ones soon.

How are your Easter colors coming.  I sure enjoy visiting all your blogs.

  1. The Easter baskets are so fun! I love the contents you included in each one. Molly is so sweet checking out the baby. Our little dog had 8 teeth pulled yesterday. She is ok but heavily medicated for the discomfort.
I love your Easter colors today. Wishing you a wonderful day.

  2. Cute stuff! Molly is so sweet!

I don't think you ever outgrow Easter baskets, either! I gave T & L theirs last night since they will be out of town this weekend. It's always fun to fill them and give them! I do always joke that the Easter Bunny loves everyone but me! I'm the only one that doesn't get one! haha. And with that in mind, I did grab up a bag of coconut cream filled chocolate eggs just for myself! haha.

    1. Well, in my book ~ if anyone deserves a huge Easter Basket it's you. So grabbing that bag of coconut creams....the ticket.. Are you going to hide behind the couch and eat the whole bag? TeeHee....Know the big kids loved their baskets.

  6. You make up the sweetest Easter baskets! I may try some of those fancy salts and sugars. I know lots of folks who would love getting those. The baby doll is so real looking - no wonder your dog is checking it out. I would have had to buy your decorative bird, too. He is so pretty.

    1. I usually just put in baked goods, but this year from some blogger friends I learned to make the salts and sugars. In cute little jars they do make nice gifts. Don't you just love my sparkly bird.
      Thanks for coming by.

  7. Easter Baskets are great at any age. I like the ones with lots of chocolate. It helps that Terrell has a Russel Stover outlet.

    1. Well that was my mother's favorite chocolate as her maiden name was STOVER. When I was a little girl I thought we owned the store...It is good chocolate.

    1. Molly has a good nose, so after sniffing both ends...she laid by it for a while, and hopped off the bed. I think she wants a real one (haha)
I thought that about the wooden bird...I really love it's look.

  9. Sweet Molly! Love the Easter baskets you put together. And though I am usually a color gal, I do like the pastel eggs in your header photo. Perhaps because they are more suited to the color of the pretty little birds. Happy Easter, Tammy
