SUNDAY LUNCH

Last night I dreamed of chicken/broccoli crepes.  So today after church ~ "The Woman of the House" (HaHa) made them for lunch. It's quick and easy if you use canned chunk chicken breast from Costco.  Some steamed broccoli, and a little cream sauce.

Added a few strawberries, and some fresh parsley and it was the perfect Sunday lunch.

BTW ~ do you like my dearests "Shirt Protector".  I found it at the thrift store, commonly called a "bib".  The front is nice material and the back terry cloth.  Washes up easy, and sure keeps Don's shirts free of stains.  (Real men don't mind wearing bibs...tee hee)

How was your Sunday?

  1. What a delicious looking meal! I love the bib; John almost always drops food in the same spot on his shirts! This would save a lot of clothes! Wishing you both a relaxing evening.

    1. A lady in our church up North made Don several smaller bibs, but they have been washed so many times they just were no more. I really tickled to find this big one at the thrift store.

  2. I take it all the ones he had before(bibs) have dissolved into oblivion... LOL I do love you two... Can say that Nate truly misses you.. that boy always has felt your love and appreciates it... Keep him in prayer.. He is still angry with God for all the abuse he endured in school,diabetes... etc...

    1. Oh Kelly, I miss you too. and we love Nate and wish we were closer to love on him too. The bibs Alice made for Don have gone the way of "worn out". Will be saying prayers for Nate.

How do you make your crepes? It looks so yummy and Bibs are great. We ate at Red Robin after church. My mushroom burger was so drippy that I had to have a napkin bib, of course the very first bite down went the drips and mushrooms. So glad I had my Bib....
I am going crazy here now. I have been trying to put some photos up for Ebay but the computer keeps saying my disk is probably full. so I've been trying to delete some photos I can live without. Its so hard!
Okay, back to business...I just had to take a break. Sure wish I was more techy savy.

I don't think Red Robin makes a burger that is not super juicy and messy!! (But good)

Sorry you having Tech problems...I such a novice I can offer only sympathy not help.

Will get that recipe to you real soon.

    1. I will email you a larger picture of front and back if you'll send me your email address. Looks pretty simple and I like that the back is a towel.
It's saved many a shirts of Don's ~especially his good shirts on Sunday.

    1. Betsy, I keep canned chicken chunk chicken breasts, and canned roast beef from Costco for quickie meals. If you have the shredded beef, taco or enchiladas are a snap.

  9. I was at Five Guys last week and I saw a guy have small drop of mustard fall onto his shirt. His wife pulled out a Tide To Go stick and made him use it on the stain. LOL. I would said NOOOOO way. But I could use a shirt protector. The lunch looks just right for a Sunday afternoon meal.

  10. Yum! on the crepes. Are they actually crepes or did you use tortillas? Either way, they look delicious! The chunk chicken from Costco is excellent. BTW, since you bake so often, do you buy the big bag of chocolate chips at Costco? My husband insists that I keep those on hand at all times! Besides using them in recipes, he has a few each day for a snack. Love the bib. Don "rocks" it.

    1. Yep, they were real crepes. Easy to make and I really like the taste better with the chicken and broccoli. Sometimes for breakfast I'd fill them with cream cheese and fruit.
YES! I do get my choc. chips in the BIG bag at Costco.

  11. We had a beautiful Sunday. Went to Calvary Chapel in Webster with an old friend from out of town. Got lots of hugs and greetings, then went out to lunch at Carrabba's where we were secretly treated to dessert by one of the servers. (And Roger grabbed the tab before James even saw it coming.)
