MONDAY ~ MONDAY

Look what happened in our back yard while I was gone!  I love the color I came back too.  If you look real close, you'll see the little house finches on the tube feeder.

Our Rose of Sharon bush is in full bloom, but I decided on giving you a close up.

I couple of items jumped in my cart when shopping at one of Jill's stores in Brookings.    I adore little crocks, and this one is a perfect color for spring.  Also the green apple pie candle needs to be on my kitchen table.

I found some goat milk soap and added some left over Christmas soaps to my Fish Soap dish.  (My hands smell so good)

Didn't want to mess with my hot rollers on this trip, so got a quick perm and cut before we left.  So I have my summer cut a little early, but it was so nice to just get up, run my fingers through my hair and be ready for the day.

Put up some of my Easter decorations on my roll top desk in the living room.  Changed my watercolor to a Spring look.

The porch has my Bunny Welcome Sign, and some silk flowers.  I want to add some daisies to look a little more like spring.

This rabbit in his tail coat pushing his egg wheelbarrow was given to me well over 30 years ago from a Secret Sister from the church of north.   The Dollar Store container and candy for any little visitors I might have...including me ~ love those peanut butter cups.

Today has already been productive as we made our Costco Run, Dollar Store, and Von's grocery store.  Cupboards are stocked.  Feels good to be home and returning to my schedule.

  1. We won't be getting spring this week. They say a big snowstorm is headed our direction. I could have guessed, it happens every March. Looks warm and spring-like at your house though.

    1. I can't believe you are still in the "snow mode". I made an Apple Crisp last night and thought of your Apple Orchard.

I'm really loving that green crock. That is just the cutest thing ever and a beautiful color!

I love your gerbera daisies. One little pot all wilted and dry was on clearance at the grocery last week. I brought it home and gave it a drink and it looks good as new. I don't even know what color the blooms will be, so that will be a fun surprise! :)

    1. That watercolor, Linda I did in 1991 when I was caring for my mother. Near the end, she slept a lot, so I painted!!
I think I lost a few pounds with that haircut..HaHa.

  7. Wanda, Your hair looks adorable. I love an easy, cool style for spring/summer. That's a cute green crock you found. You have inspired me to do some more spring decorating. We have had 2 days of 70 degree weather and it feels great. Have a good night.

    1. There was a time I thought I might just let my hair grow and not cut it...but I didn't want to take time on me when I was at my brothers, so made the decision for short and curly...now I'm so glad I did. Feels so cool and easy.
We were in the 80's today!!! Sleeveless and sandals.

  9. I love that watercolor too. It's beautiful. You always decorate your home with such tender loving care.
2 blue jays were having such a conversation in our backyard today. Just as I suspected...a cat had invaded their territory. Now everything is back to quiet again.

  12. I can only dream of having flowers in the yard. More snow coming this week and next. I bought flowers this week at the supermarket just because I missed them so.

Your new hairdo is cute. So attractive on you. I got my hair cut short last summer and it looked awful on me. I'm growing it out now. It's pretty long and my husband loves it.

You are very talented to paint that beautiful spring picture.

  14. I wish I could just get up and go but my hair gets so flat and funky during the night that it must be washed or at least rinsed every single day. Your flowers are looking lovely. It's only up to the 80s and my plants are already starting to look wilted. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

    1. I've been blessed with easy hair to manage. I have a lot of it, and the gal that gives me my perms twice a year said it's healthy as I've never used any die or bleach on it.
