THINGS THAT MADE ME SMILE TODAY

  • A new bouquet in the kitchen window ~ love that tiger lily.
  • If I don't make the bed immediately after getting up, Molly digs herself a warm bed in the pillows.
  • I found a small bowl and plate at the thrift store that's the same color as some of my Fiesta ware.

  • Don took me out to breakfast this  morning to a little cafe "Jeremy's" that has been around for years and years.  They have the walls covers with license  plates, posters, signs and at lot of "whatever".  A fun place that makes me smile.
  • A close up of the lily that's opening up.
  • Spring is a little early in the front yard.  The trees are already showing some green.

Last but not least, thank you for the wonderful outpouring of encouragement in my new lifestyle change.  For you that are in the same boat..You will have my support.

What made you smile today?

  1. Hello Wanda. Your flower bouquet is gorgeous and I love your lace curtains. How fun to find dishes at the thrift store that match what you have. Molly sure brought a smile to my face! She is so adorable.
Glad you two had a nice breakfast out. We are snowed in today but we have not lost power and I am so thankful.
Our neighbor, who is a fireman, so kindly called to ask if we needed anything a few minutes ago...we really appreciated his thoughtfulness.
Hope you enjoy a nice evening. xoxo Mildred

    1. Mildred, I have always LOVED lace, from my Chantilly Lace Wedding gown to my lace curtains. I can't wait to bring out my spring bedding and put lace back in the bedroom.

You have a nice neighbor. How thoughtful.

    2. Have you ever looked at Heirloom lace? At the house we shared with mother, we had lace butterfly curtains. I just loved them!
Heirloom lace is available on amazon.

  2. It's my turn to turn 50 this year. I think it will be a year of changes (starting with my drinking habits... haha!)
The snow made me smile this morning. It was Booger Freezing Weather again, but so pretty! It's been a much better week than last week. Maybe it's the prayers, maybe it's the lack of coffee, maybe it's a bit of both. Whatever it is I am thanking the One Who Knows for the turn of events.

    1. Well, Martha dear you could be my daughter. One of my daughters is 50. I sometimes forget how young you are because you relate to this old woman, and are wise beyond your age.

  7. What made me smile? Well, I'm a day late in looking at your blog post so I will talk about yesterday first...
We had breakfast with some lovely friends and caught up on things. Laughed, talked and drank a gallon of coffee.
Got out a few things to make the house look "Valentiney" and set the table for small group tonight.
I got my pictures to post on my blog...that always makes me smile. My old computer is so ornery.
Reading your post definitely makes me smile and seeing Princess Molly on her pillow throne...(:0)
Today I must do some bill paying...not full of grins, but very thankful that there is money to pay them.
Love you and miss you dear friend...now that is the biggest smile of all!!

That's the way I feel about bills... so grateful there are funds to pay them.
I wish we were smiling face to face... Soon I hope.
