ADDING A LITTLE "ROMANCE"

Looked around the living room and decided it needed a touch of "Romance" for the Valentine "Love" Holiday.  My watercolor of the "Girl in White" has always touched me as being a romantic painting.  The original concept, was a girl kneeling in worship, wearing white linen as described in Revelation.  I added one of my rose tea pots and cup and saucer.  A string of pearls says romance to me and a rose and button shoe.  My old kerosene lamp and the lace scarf.  What do you think?

A close up of the tea pot and cup.

The metal rose and button shoe says romance to me ~ especially since my dearests pet name for me is "Rose".

On the little table by the corner window I added another set of rose dishes and teapot.  The teacup frame and the pictures of me sipping tea and a couple candles completed my  touch of romance.

Tonight, it took on a different look, and I decided to make a candlelight dinner!

Marsala Chicken, pasta and garden salad!  This has been a good day!  I hope you have had a good one too.

  1. Very pretty. I have a bit of "romance" at the end of my living room too, a childhood romance. Love painting of little boys and girls who quite obviously adore each other.

    1. You know Patty, I have so much tea "stuff" and it usually sits in the Hutches. So it didn't take much to pull out a few favorite pieces and make a little romantic scene. Happy V day to you too.

50 years..we both are blessed with godly men. That's a milestone and 50 is the frosting!

    1. Thanks Betsy. I always think my tea collection looks a bit Victorian. I like that. Wish you could have been here for the Chicken Masala. But I enjoyed the meatloaf and scalloped potatoes a few minutes ago even better..(Memory food)

    1. We're not as romantic as it would seem. Ended up eating our "romantic dinner" in the media room watching the news. HaHa. Another time, perhaps.

    1. Something about candlelight, just changes the mood in a room doesn't it? Some habits should be kept. That's one of them.

  14. Wow, the candles lit for dinner would certainly give a romantic ambiance! You did a fabulous job at revamping that area by mixing together your favorite things. And the dinner looks very satisfying. I'm sure your efforts were greatly appreciated, Ms Wanda! :)
