TWEETY BIRD AND A NEW YEAR

The beginning of a New Year means picking out a new calendar for my refrigerator (Since that's what we live by).  Normally I choose a nice floral with different flowers and colors for each month.  This year I was a little late in my calendar shopping and the pickings were thin...  Underneath a group of, what I considered rather dull or even ugly, I saw Tweety Bird, and he called  my name and I brought him home.

He now will live on my refrigerator for the month of January, and then I get to enjoy another Disneyland character each month of the year.  How fun is that?

The calendar is my "brains" telling me what to do and where to go! HaHa
The bottom half of my refrigerator will be graced with pictures of family, friends, and art work from the great grandsons.

I do have a small planner I carry in my purse, but I couldn't get through January without Tweety!

What do you use?

  1. I have to have a calendar, too! Tweety will be perfect for the month of January! He'll add a bit of cheer to a some times dreary month! :)

    1. I'm already feeling the cheer when I walk in the kitchen. I glad they were out of floral this year.

  2. I'm using my free calendar from www.saveSFbay.org. It has great pictures of the Bay Area and big enough squares for me to put my life down in ink. I really need the physical piece of paper to keep me on track.
Gonna miss you on ABC Wednesday but I understand completely. Not sure how much longer I will keep it up myself. It has helped me look at the world differently though and I sure have met some wonderful friends through it too. (:0)

    1. It was a real struggle for me, but I felt I wasn't doing either one justice, just throwing something together at the last minute and that's not what I wanted to do. So I'm really thinking through the post on my blog and trying to do more meaningful and interesting ones in 2014. I did meet some wonderful friends too. That I will miss. I will probably still visit some....YOU for sure.

  3. A wall calendar in the kitchen. We've had the same type for years now, and anything thats happening has to go on it. When the kids come visiting its usually the first things, they have a look at just to see what we're up to. Have a good New Year.

    1. How nice that you make your husband a calendar. Do you do it on the computer, or more of a handmade?

    1. Cute isn't it? All the years I worked in Property Management, I used a Day Timer planner or a Franklin. Couldn't get along with out them. Now I love the big cheery one in the Kitchen.
