PURPLE GLOVES

Today I experience a wonderful sight.  It was a random act of kindness that was not meant for anyone to see, but I did, and I was blessed.

My dearest and I were on our way home from the store when I saw a well dressed woman, black slacks and jacket, a purple knitted hat, scarf and gloves.  As we drove by she took off the gloves, and gave them to a homeless woman in a wheel chair.  I wish I could have seen the expression on the ladies face getting the warm gloves, but it was just a "moment in time" as we drove on.

I love seeing acts of kindness, don't you?

  2. Oh, is that sweet...so very selfless! My husband told me that the other day the person in the car in front of him at a drive thru paid for his coffee. I told him it was a random act of kindness. He said he never heard of it and I had to explain to him that it was like all the times he gave a few dollars to the homeless on the street. :)

    XO,
    Jane

    1. I think some people do random acts of kindness and don't even realize they do, like your husband. Those are the best kind.

  3. Oh, I love that! Just love it! I think after the first of the year, I'm going to organize a blogger month of random acts. Wouldn't that be fun? I'll have to think of how best to do that, but I think all would be great at spreading love in an organized way. How fun! Thanks for sharing...that is so inspiring!

  4. What a perfect little moment, the lady giving the purple gloves, the lady in the wheel chair feeling warmer, and you smiling and now all of us smiling too.

  8. I noticed the sign out button is where I thought the post button was, ut oh. A great gesture this lady did, without wanting to be recognized for it. I'm sure I would fall in to the 'to absorbed with my own thoughts' to even notice. I'll try to keep my head up......Now hit publish, not sign out.

    1. Years ago Jim, I read a book called "Seizing the Moment" it basically changed the way I looked at things as each day...there are moments to be seized, but you have to be looking for them.
Sure glad you figured out which buttons to press. HaHa. You gave me a chuckle!
