MORE BITS OF JOY

One of my joys at Christmas is giving away my homemade gifts.  It's even sweeter to receive homemade gifts from friends.  Today I got a couple more "Bits of Joy".

A bottle of Arbol Chili Olive Oil, and a jar of "Vanilla Sugar".  I opened the sugar and there is a vanilla bean in the top.  It will be wonderful in my coffee.  My friend said the longer the vanilla bean stays in the jar the more vanilla flavor the sugar will have.

  4. Awesome!!! I always keep a vanilla bean in my sugar canister. There is a great store here in Irving - 'Years to Your Health' and you can get spices and all manner of herbs and teas inexpensively. I LOVE 'homemade' above all other!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!

I've so enjoyed all your homemade goodies, but cooking and sewing...You give me good ideas. Merry Christmas to your wonderful "clan".

  5. Vanilla sugar sounds neat. I wonder what it would taste like in oatmeal? UGH, already Dec 23rd?
