THE PARTY'S OVER

The Courtyard at The Cheesecake Factory is so fun.  A trip around the courtyard on the Trolley give you a view of all the stores along the way.  I decided on 1/2 Sandwich, soup and salad since I wanted Cheese Cake.  It was wild mushroom soup, and the Cheese cake was White Chocolate Raspberry truffle with lots of whipped cream.  It was all delicious.
My sister told Don he was an angel for letting his wife run around for 3 days with her, and leave him to fend for himself.  He was an angel, but then I knew that all along!  She's on the train as I type and will be home is a few hours.  It was a great Sister Time.  Take a deep breath, and on to Mother's Day!

What are you doing for Mother's Day?

  1. Only time will tell what happens on Mother's Day. I think my own mom doesn't really care one way or another. She has become indifferent to celebrations of any kind. But, there is a Mother/Daughter Banquet at church tomorrow evening which Hannah and I will attend, and an 80th birthday party for my Aunt Margie on Saturday. That should be fun!

    1. I love Mother/Daughter Banquets. During our years of ministry I sure have planned and enjoyed a lot of them.

Sorry you Mom is rather distant to Mother's Day this year. Have fun at the Party. Wow 80 is something to celebrate.

  2. So much fun! I've had that soup and that cheesecake! Yum!

I have no idea what will happen on Mother's Day here. But I'm always given love and gifts! Sometimes I cook and sometimes the men run and get KFC. ha.

    1. We are going to celebrate Mother's Day with family at a Bruch at our daughter Julie's on Saturday. Then Sunday our church has lunch for anyone who wants to stay and forget the lines at all the cafe's. $10 for a really nice catered lunch and some homegrown entertainment.

Hey no cooking, and KFC..that's not a bad idea!!

  3. Wow that is a lot of whipped cream there, seemed you had a great sister time outing, as far as spending Mother's day here it will more an likely be nothing special for us.

    Enjoy your weekend!

    1. Rosy, I love "REAL" whipped cream as much as the cheesecake, so the cute waiter, added extra to mine. I ended up bring some of it home.

  5. I am fascinated by the courtyard trolley. The place looks so quaint.
I'm so glad you had a wonderful time with your sister. There is nothing like family times for special memories.
We're celebrating Mother's Day at Steve's home. He is going to BBQ kabobs and veggies. We'll sit out by the pool if it's not too hot.
I have to admit that it will be nice to not cook for everyone this time.
Tomorrow evening we go to some friends house for a Kareoke dinner party. That should be fun. We always meet new people when Sherry has these parties. The church is so big that that's the only way to meet some people, (having parties, that is)
Have a wonderful Mother's Day and give Don an extra hug from me.

    1. The next time you and Dave are in Southern CA, we will make sure we get a trip to The Cheesecake Factory, and a free ride on the trolley. You deserve to be treated on Mother's Day after all the Cooking you've been doing!

Sending love and hugs...to you and Dave.
