PRETTY WITH CURLS

Tuesday morning I made a visit to Elizabeth, since I didn't make it for Mother's Day.  I had been telling her I would come roll her hair and give her some curls.  Today it worked out perfect as she got her shower and hair washed today.  I had to pick up my car from Nissan after a Service and it's just a couple of miles to see her.

When I got there, she was ready for the rollers.  We visited while her hair dried, and then the comb out.  It looked so cute, and she was very pleased.  We needed to share a picture of her new "hair-do".  I don't care if you're 16 or 96 a woman wants to look nice.  Elizabeth is no different.

I told her we looked like we could be "Mother/Daughter".  She liked that.

    1. It's amazing what a few curls can do physically and emotionally. Few women in Rest Homes, get to have hair do's unless you are in a large facility that caters to that and has a Beauty Shop at the facility.

  5. I may make my visits on Tuesday since that is her hair washing day. I think she'd enjoy a weekly hairdo.

    1. She is one of my greatest blessings. She showed me a picture of her shortly after she was married, and she was drop dead beautiful!! So glad I could give her a hair do to make her feel pretty.

  9. What a wonderful gift for Elizabeth! You have such a ministry, Wanda -- a truly Christlike heart. The Lord bless you.
I'm not back into blogging full time yet. Too many odds and ends to be taken care of for when our old house goes up for sale. That will hopefully happen early next week.

    1. Oh how nice to see you back, even if it's small for now. I've done a lot of things in our years of ministry...but the ministry to the elderly is my favorite. It's a God thing...he put it in my heart.

    1. Isn't it exciting how the Lord gives us each gifts to make the body of Christ complete. I love the little spot he's given me. I think of you and Dave and the place you fit into the body with all your hours of service and love. It's what makes life worth living in a sad and corrupt world. Love you.
