ABC WEDNESDAY ~ LETTER "R"

We live less than an hour from the Ronald Regan Library in Simi Valley, CA.  We have visit it a couple times, taking friends who were visiting.  There is way to many pictures to share so I made a couple of collages.  The first one of President Regan and Air Force One, the second of Nancy and the grounds.

The grounds are beautiful, along with all the buildings and artifacts, but this huge portrait of Nancy Regan caught my eye.  It's really quite elegant.  There was also a display of some of the outfits she wore to special events at the White House, and that she wore them more that once to different occasions.  There has been much negative said about Nancy, but that impressed me, since there is so much waste going on in the White House.

If you every get a chance to visit the Library you won't be disappointed.

I've deleted by "Other Blog" so my ABC Wednesday, Creative Tuesday and Sky Watch Friday will be on this one.  Not enough time to manage more than one blog.

    1. Betsy, wish I could have met you there!!!

Yes, I'm taking a long look at all I get myself involved with and cutting some things out. June is graduations of grandsons, Jill's baby, so I need to slow down and be ready. I think the one blog is perfect. Betsy, I have to admit I like the profile picture and it wasn't posed...my hat was blowing off and I grabbed it and it turned out to be a cute picture. Thanks. Julie did a great job decorating her tables for the Brunch.

  6. It looks like a must see place when one goes to the area. Ronald Reagan was just himself, for good or bad, but I always thought that Mrs. Reagan carried herself with a lot of grace and elegance, especially when she was attacked.

Attacking first ladies when I think about seems to have become quite the popular thing. I don't get it.

I have one blog and host Skywatch Friday and it is all I can handle. I visit other people and I see some of them have a half dozen blogs. I don't know how they do it and I don't know which one I should try when they don't have a "My Web Page" listed.

    1. It is a wonderful place to visit. The portrait of Nancy is just stunning. I know being a Pastor's wife is anything like the first lady, but you are in a fishbowl just the same. I had my share of love and a few negative reviews. But then doesn't everyone?

  8. We keep meaning to get there for a visit and will someday, maybe when my Son-in-laws Mom comes for a visit from NY.
We have been to the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda many times and as you said above, I see something new every visit.
My daughter and I have often mentioned to one another how lucky we are to live in Southern California and maybe a little spoiled by it all too!
