THE PERFECT SATURDAY MORNING

The coffee cake is out of the oven.

The ham and eggs are ready to scramble, and the country potatoes ready to fry.
Coffee's brewed ... The best part...guess who came to breakfast?

Our son Myk, his lovely Chelenne, and the grandsons Elijah and Kaleb.

Get Grandma in the mix . . .

Don't forget Grandpa and Molly.  Yes that's
THE PERFECT SATURDAY MORNING.

    1. Everyone is always so busy working, it hard to get together for a meal. This was very special, and the weather was delightful.

    1. HaHaHa...and the recipe does not call for drizzle!!! It dissapeared with those teenage boys. Myk's family is the only one that is Blog friendly...and I guess you are right..most were at Kaleb's footballgames.
It was so fun. We ate, we laughed and ate somemore! The took a quick trip to the Thrift Store... can't wait to share some new "canning" goodies I found.

  4. How nice! I am looking forward to a day when I have the opportunity to be relaxed when my kids and grands come over. I need to learn how to relax a little bit more. Well, that and how to be prepared for company. I need to keep a cookie jar filled.

    1. This was such a wonderful relax time. Myk loves to cook, so we did the cooking while the others visited in the living room. Two people max in my little kitchen. It was so nice we said we need to do it at least once a month or every 6 weeks. They live about an hour away. I knew they were coming, so the menu was easy...scramble eggs and ham, country potatoes, coffee cake and fresh fruit. Yes, my cookie jar was full..empty now...cookies went home with them. HaHa

  6. What a wonderful way to start your Saturday. Perfect in my estimation.
Glad you got in the picture too.
Having the family over after church today for Spagehetti. Haven't been able to do it for a while. there have been so many activities to take us away from the usual get togethers.
Hugs to Don and a scratch behind the ear to Miss Molly too.

    1. I look forward to many more of these Saturday mornings. This seems to work best for Myk's family as they are involved in their church on Sundays.

Don has been hugged, and Molly's ears scratched...They say thank you. ((smile))

    1. This is my favorite coffee cake to make. Cinnamon Sour Cream, with drizzle!!

I'm so blessed to have my four children and 11 grandchildren. I think Kaleb and Elijah might be close to the ages of your sons.
