THE BLUE BIRD OF HAPPINESS

Today I was reading Tanna's post, and she was sharing her "Blue Bird of Happiness".  I loved the way she displayed hers, and the fun post that accompanied it.

I remembered I had a darling little blue bird and nest in my hutch.  Taking the idea from Tanna, I put it on my desk, as a reminder of all the happiness and blessing I have in my life.  In fact one is I completed my 1000 blessing in my 1000 Gift Journal Christmas Eve.  And New Years day added #1001 with a special gift.  Got a call my our granddaughter Monique (24) that she is engaged.  Eddie ask her to marry him as they walked on the beach.

I pray that the Blue Bird of Happiness will fill your days and nights in this new Year.  I realize happiness usually depends on what happens, and real joy comes from the Lord in spite of circumstances.  So I'm sending you the Blue Bird of Happiness and Joy!

    1. I just knew you would have a blue bird somewhere in your home.

We are very excited about Monique and Eddie. I think Eddie will finish college before they make wedding plans.

  2. I was coming back to tell you how excited I am for you and your granddaughter... then I was delighted by your bluebird!! May the joys spread! To me joy is a gift from God in the grace of His love... our happiness is a choice we make daily in the face of good or bad to focus on His blessings. (oh, that I would ever stay CONSTANT in that!) blessings and hugs ~ tanna

    1. It would be fun to see how many decide to display a bluebird...

Oh yes, joy is truly a gift. Today I visited my friend Elizabeth (96) and share with her my 1000 Gift Journal.
Told her she is listed as one of my blessings.

      Hugs

  6. Thank you Wanda. I need the reminder of that little Blue Bird every now and then.
I seem to have a few things laying heavy on my heart right now and know where I need to place that burden.
How wonderful to finish your journal of 1000 and now its on to the next thousand.
    Love you dear friend.

    1. Sue I will be lifting you up in prayer for those things laying heavy on your heart. I have a few myself, and was just thinking I need to pour my heart out in my prayer journal. Sue, I'm going to do an old fashion thing, and sit right down and write you a letter. Hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow.

I like to share that way too. Thank you for the prayer support.
Sometimes the emotions are like a roller coaster. (Sometimes I don't even know why)
Love you dear friend and look forward to hearing from you.
