NEW CHRISTMAS MEMORIES MADE

New Christmas memories as our great grandsons are getting so big and it's so fun watching them enjoy the sparkle of Christmas Day.
They made me and grandpa a glass Christmas Ornament with their pictures inside, and a card with each of their hand prints.  I think this was my favorite gift.

This is our oldest grandson, Michael and his lovely wife Candice.  She is so creative and the best mom, doing all kinds of crafts with the boys.  They are the newest family in the clan now, and got their first "Christmas Basket" from Grandma's Kitchen.

How I remember sneaking into the Hospital (after closing) so see this grandson over 25 years ago.  We are so blessed with our family, but somehow Christmas time just makes us love and appreciate them more and more.

More pictures of the rest of the grandchildren coming soon~

I hope your Christmas was full of family, blessings and love.

  2. It's wonderful to receive handmade gifts from the little ones. I miss doing crafty things with my boys -- was so easy when they were younger, now they are humbug about everything remotely art related. :/ Have a great day. Tammy

    1. Isn't that what happens to all our "older kids and grandkids in my case". I've talked to my grandaughter, Monica (17) who said next year, she will come over and spend a day baking with me, and learn how to make the Engish Toffee...I hope she still feels that way next December!!
Kinda nice not to have a lot of things to do today! I'm sipping tea from my little French tea cup, as I'm coffeed out!!

  3. Sweet pictures and such sweet, thoughtful gifts! And what a cute couple they make! That reminds me that I have a paper with all four of my boys' hand prints on it with their names and dates. It needs to be reframed. I think I'll put that on my To Do list for a project this year. It's about time that thing made a reappearance, I'm thinking! :)

    1. Betsy, I was thinking of you and Taylor..and how soon there will be another family in your clan.

I wish I knew where the little plaster of paris hand prints of my kids are...probably in the garage somewhere.

I love that you are going to make your boys hand prints a new place in your home.

  4. Your Great Grands are treasures.
Having a Japanese exchange student join us for Christmas Day was wonderful.
Kaito loves all the American traditions.
She said that when kids reach Jr. High age they no longer get stockings and few gifts. She was over whelmed to get a stocking at the Granddaughters house and then at ours too.
We gave her a few small gifts too. She kept ooo-ing and awwing and taking pictures of everything.
It seems like all we have done for the last few days is eat. Oh the pounds ugh!
Dave and I are having a "do nothing" day today too.
We have been so busy that this is a welcome activity.

    1. Just bits and pieces. Most of my adult children are not interested in being on my blog..but some of my grandkids are OK with it. Now Michael, Candice and the boys are all for it, so they get the limelight!haha

I do have a lovely family, Heather. Merry Christmas to you too...and looking forward to a great New Year.
