MINESTRONE ~ WHAT A GOOD SMELL!

Last night was chilly so soup was in order.  Oh the smell of homemade minestrone soup coming from the kitchen.  It's chucked full of carrots, potatoes, kidney beans, zucchini, celery onion, tomatoes, cabbage..I could go on...oh yes, seashell pasta too.

Made enough to freeze half for another chilly night later on.

What soup do you like to make?

    1. Laurie, I've never made French Onion, but loved it when I had it at a nice cafe.

This minestrone is very easy and Don's favorite.

  3. I have many soup recipes that I make over and over and over again. Always vegetarian. Soup and a big chunk of bread is one of my favorite meals. Best wishes, Tammy

  4. Minestrone is one of my all time favorites. We used to go to a restaurant called Toto's which had the best soup. That and fresh sour dough bread with butter...oh yumm, That makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
I really like split pea and ham soup too. Very cozy flavors for a chilly day.
Infact I may have to make some soup today. I seem to have a head cold lurking about.
