LET THE CHRISTMAS BAKING BEGIN

Thought I'd post a picture of me this morning.  I've got my rolling pin, my Christmas apron and ready to start the Christmas baking.

Have several cups of pumpkin ready for Pumpkin Bread, and have cute little Christmas loaf pans to bake it in.  Getting ready to mail Goodie Boxes to our daughter in Oregon, and our friend in Texas.

Listening to Christmas music, and almost have the house decorated.  My "artificial" tree has seen it last day, so think I will get a small "real" tree this year.  A couple of large Poinsettia Plants, and I'll be ready to sit down with a cup of coffee and write myself a Thank You note, HaHa.

How are your Christmas plans coming?

  1. Finally went Christmas shopping this morning. Got,just about, done. We are doing Christmas on the 15 of Dec. So I have a lot to do in the next couple of weeks. But I feel better after this mornings shopping trip.I was starting to get that panic feeling. Just have to do some baking and I will be good to go.

    1. Rose, sounds like you are off to a really good start! Having Chistmas early, really gets you going. I feel that way about the boxes I have to send out of state..that's why the baking is starting now.

Since it's just Don and me, and we celebrate Christmas at the kids, I bought a really large poinsettia and will put it in the corner where I usually have a tree. It's beautiful, and I'll post a picture soon.

  2. You are too cute. The poinsettia sounds like a great idea. I finally got out yesterday to begin the Christmas shopping which is not a really fun experience for me since I'm not a very good shopper. But I did make a little headway on it.

  3. I know that house smelled like heaven!! I've been whirling through decorating as quick as I can... the Little Men are on their last leg of their journey home for Christmas and I can hardly wait! Once they are here, Noni won't get much done. ;) Have a wonderful day, Wanda. blessings ~ tanna

  5. Well we already did Christmas! Can you believe that? I only get the grown children every other year, the other year they go to the in laws! Don't you hate to share♥ So I will just have to have fun watching others this month. It was such a great time with the family during Thanksgiving...so I am just going to stay blessed.
