I'M GOING "NUTS"

My sweet sister Donna has sent me a big bag of walnut's every November since we retired.  One of the things I missed not living in the Valley was getting fresh walnuts and almonds every year, for eating and baking.  They are already hulled and in nice halves.

So thanks Donna...your box with the bag of walnuts came today, and just in time for Holiday baking.   I can't think of a better early "Christmas" present.  You are the best!   Love you Sis!

Let's see what should I bake first?  Maybe I'll just eat a handful and think about it!!!

    1. Unless you can compare, you might never know the difference between store bought, and fresh off the tree. Living in Walnut/Almond area for 27 years, we love the "fresh"!

  2. We like nuts straight from the shell, and buy them from the bulk bins in the shell. Walnuts, pecans, almonds, brazil nuts and hazelnuts. Yum.

    1. I have some of them in a big glass jar on the counter, so I can just see them and think of my Sis, and count my blessing...name them one by one.

      Love ya, Tanna

Your kitchen must smell so good all the time. Of course, today I can't smell a thing with my icky cold.
