TRICK OR TREAT

HAPPY HALLOWEEN ~ COME ON BY FOR A TREAT

The first 3 years we lived here, we didn't have one "Trick or Treater".  So we were forced to eat the candy.  Bummer..HaHa.

Last year we had a few, so I'm not sure who or what will show up on my porch tonight.

Just in case we have to eat all the goodies again, I did add some healthy Nature Valley Bars this time.

Come on by if you're in the neighborhood, and I'll add a cup of coffee and some cookies to the mix~ or some pumpkin bread.

BOO!

  7. Wish I was closer. We didn't hand out anything this year. I was told there weren't many out, think it's because it was cold, windy and rainy. I use to set at the end of the driveway to keep the little one from having to come up and ring the doorbell and make the dog bark the whole time kids were out trick or treating. But the last time I did that, I was so cold and damp feeling it took me three days to get over it. That was the last time I tried it. Mostly all older people now on this street and it got so, the kids would look down this small stretch and only see one light out of about ten homes and would decide it wasn't worth the trip down. First year I didn't hand out candy I felt very guilty, but then I got to thinking, about all the years we did hand out treats and didn't feel so bad. I believe the most we ever had one year was about 250 children. At that time, all the small towns around us were holding there's on different nights, so trucks and vans of kids would get dropped off at the corner and all come rushing up at one time. Finally they got wise and now hold it the same time period. Have a nice week-end. It's already almost 5pm on Sat. week-end is almost over. Tonight have clocks to set back.
