SUNDAY BRUNCH

Last Sunday we had a delicious Sunday Brunch at the local Country Club and Golf Course.  We shared this afternoon with some wonderful friends that we have not known for a long time so sitting ,eating, sharing, laughing is a good way to really get to know someone.
The time passed so quickly and we were sharing common stories and eating the most delicious food.
I ate my lunch in three courses ~ the top picture on the right is my first plate ~ fresh fruit, roasted veggies, poached salmon, figs and crackers and cheese.
The plate to the left is the main course of prime rib, saute onions, figs and salad.
And for dessert... Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, blue berry scone, fresh strawberry and banana bread.

I was introduced to an Arnold Palmer, which was quite refreshing.  Half ice tea, and half lemonade.

All in all....and Excellent Sunday.

Betsy over at "My Five Men" is trying to teach me to do collages on my blog...this is my first attempt with a little guidance from her.

  1. I like the menu you had, although not sure I would have been able to manage three courses.
Thankyou so much for calling by and leaving a comment on my photography blog for ABC Wedneday.

  2. The brunch looks delish.
Well done on the collage too. You look so professional.
Isn't it fun to visit with new friends? I love doing that.
Today our weather is simply crazy. It looks like rain any minute. We never have this kind of weather in July! It will probably rain because the yard got a good watering this morning...

    1. Sue ~ it was delish...If you ever get down here, that' where we'll take you and Dave.

It was HOT here today, and I had errand to run, so with a large Ice Tea in my Thrive holder, off I went.

  5. Employers here now take prospective employees out for dinner. How you act, talk and socialize determines whether you'd be suitable for a position in their employ - I think this is a great idea - how better to know whether someone would fit in with your team. What a delicious looking meal!

    1. I think you are so right Janice. Conversation over food and drink is sometimes very inlightening.

We see these friends at Church, but on Sunday it's more like Hi and Bye, so this was really refreshing to have meaningful conversation.

    1. I was pretty happy with my first attempt. I will try to download Picasa 3 and get more squares. I couldn't find out to make for squares on this particular one.

The food, the friends, and the view, which is overlooking the golf course from the patio, but didn't get a picture of that.
