HANGING OUT ~

This morning after a doctor's appointment we stopped in at "Bob's Big Boy" for breakfast.  When Don was in High School in Burbank, Bob's Big Boy was the place to hang out with friends.

Growing up in Northern CA, our hang out was a Drive-In called Izzy's where like the menu at Bob's was Hamburgers, Fries, and Shakes!  Izzy's no longer exists, but the Bob's Big Boy restaurants in Southern CA are still around and going strong.

Where did you "hang out" in High School?

  3. There was a drive-in restaurant called Mels (not the one from American Grafitti) we would get a coke at and talk forever.
Also way back in the Dark Ages before all the restrictions, security issues and everything costing so much, we used to go to the Airport and just hang out. We got to have tours of the tower and "backstage" areas. Lots of fun. We sure couldn't do that now.

  7. That's interesting. Here in the Dallas area, it was known as Kip's Big Boy!
We hung out at the Tastee Freeze in our neighborhood and also at various other locations known as Brookside in South Tulsa.
