THE CHURCH STALKER

I really love the little set up on my front wall for the birds.  The Church Birdhouse, their seed dish and water bowl. Perfect for my "rowdy" birds that need Church, the good ones who come everyday to visit.

We have a "Church Stalker"...This isn't the first time he's pretended to be a "Church Cat", but after finding the evidence he has ulterior motives, I keep an eye out for him.

As you can see, he is hiding in the leaves by the tree and waiting for the opportunity to have a free lunch.  Don't get me wrong...I love cats.  He belongs to someone in the neighborhood, I'm sure, as he is clean and well fed.  If I could catch him, I'd baptize him, HaHa.  (Just kidding) Leave my little birds alone Mr. Cat.

  1. We have a black cat that stalks the birds too. But our feeders are just a bit too high and the branches over the feeders too thin to hold him. But he does like to tease Scruffy at the window.

    1. Chris, I thought of you when I posted it, and didn't want Scruffy feel bad....Scruffy would never hurt my birds would he? I know you've raised him well. HaHa

    2. Wanda, you made a cat smorgy there!! The cat looks like our Dora cat, all indoor kitties tho so they only "bird hunt" from afar... ;0) Loved the pics and your writing.

    1. Aren't those eyes something, Sue. I really can't believe he just sat there as I creeped around to get the picture. He's a brave one alright.

  5. Ha-ha! I love your little church birdhouse. These photos are so great! That is one sneaky cat sitting in the shade of the tree hoping for a little feather friend to drop by. :) I'm stopping by from Tanna's place. Your watercolor cards are gorgeous! Wishing you a wonderful day. Tammy

    1. Tammy, it's so fun to meet new friends through Tanna. My BIL made the birdhouse for me since my husband is a retired pastor and we have loved serving in churches.

  6. Perhaps a wee electrically charge wire...just a small dose...might give him a dose of the Holy Spirit???
    lol

Just Kidding...I am not suggesting that you really do that of course. Just continuing with the theme of your post.

Very cute post by the way.
    Great Pics and Great Writing.

    Blessings to you and yours.

Yes, hose is a good idea. That would work for the baptism.

    1. Betsy, that's part of the problem...he's so beautiful, but not so much, that I want him hanging around the birds. I too think he's tasted bird and liked it!!

    1. They are fun aren't they. I couldn't believe the cat didn't run away when he saw me with the camera.

BTW Pastor Jon was feeling well enough to preach today. Answered prayer...Thanks.

  10. You need a water gun Wanda - let him have a shot of that and kitty might stay away LOL. I love all the little birdies here and my cats have strict instructions that bird-catching is not allowed - 95% of the time they listen...

    1. I have one, Janice... I just didn't think about it. I thought water, but not the water gun...Thanks

I must tell this cat of your strict instructions....I like that.

  11. This is a wonderful story, how good of you to provide a church for the birds, plus the usual food and water. And the black kitty looks dangerous (to birds). We feed a feral woebegone sad looking black kitty.

  12. I laughed when you talked about baptizing the church stalker. One time we had a rooster who chased me so my brother baptized him in the watering trough. He went down a dry sinner and came up a wet sinner! He never changed a bit....maybe a little more angry. Ha! Ha!
